From the eastern part of Maharashtra, some Nagpurkar came together and established operations in various sectors like Pharmacy Retail, Transport, Education, Healthcare under the HERD GROUP since 2006. The idea of establishing a financial institution (in 2014) for the purposes of providing economic independence to rural and semi-urban - women, youth, farmers and small businesses (hawkers, store owners and traders) took shape on 5th January 2023 in the form of Rupaai Mahila Urban.
